Lawn mowing questions, answered
Common questions about acreage mowing, quotes and service areas.
How often should acreage be mown?
It depends on the season, rainfall, grass type and how you use the land. Through spring and summer most Hawkesbury acreage needs a cut every 2 to 4 weeks; in the cooler months it can stretch to 4 to 8 weeks. We recommend a schedule after seeing your block.
Do you mow residential lawns as well as acreage?
Yes. We mow standard house lawns and the house yard on larger properties, as well as open acreage and paddocks.
Can I get a quote before booking?
Yes. Call 02 8428 9245 or send the quote form with your suburb, the approximate size of the property and the work you need. Quotes are free.
Which areas do you service?
We are based in Yarramundi and work across the Hawkesbury and northern Penrith areas, including Richmond, North Richmond, Agnes Banks, Londonderry, Castlereagh, Grose Vale, Kurmond, Kurrajong, Windsor and nearby suburbs.
Do I need to be home when you mow?
No. As long as we can access the property and know about gates, pets and livestock, you do not need to be there.
Can you cut overgrown grass?
Yes. We cut back long and overgrown grass and can bring a neglected block back to a height that is easy to maintain with regular mowing.
Do you take clippings away?
On lawns we blow clippings off paths and driveways. On acreage, clippings are normally left to mulch back into the ground. If you need green waste removed, tell us when you ask for a quote.
